AFC Totton Complete Signing of Experienced Midfielder Reece Fleet
AFC Totton are delighted to announce the signing of experienced midfielder Reece Fleet ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 34-year-old arrives at the Snows Stadium bringing a wealth of National League and National League South experience, as well as proven leadership qualities developed over a distinguished career spanning more than a decade in senior football.
Fleet joins the Stags after most recently spending time with Chippenham Town, having previously enjoyed a remarkable 10-year spell with Oxford City where he captained the club and became one of the most influential figures in their modern history.
During his time with the Hoops, Fleet made over 400 appearances, placing him sixth on Oxford City's all-time appearance list. His consistency, professionalism and commitment helped establish him as a fan favourite and a key figure both on and off the pitch.
Beginning his football journey in Birmingham City's academy system, Fleet gained his first sustained experience of senior football with Solihull Moors, making 96 league appearances for the Midlands club. His performances there earned him a move to Oxford City, where he would become a cornerstone of one of the most successful periods in the club's history.
Fleet was part of an Oxford side that regularly challenged at the top end of the National League South and enjoyed memorable cup runs and record-breaking campaigns. After suffering the disappointment of a Play-Off Semi-Final defeat in 2021/22, Oxford bounced back in spectacular fashion the following season. The Hoops defeated Worthing and St Albans City to secure promotion to the National League for the first time in their history, with Fleet scoring the opening goal in the Promotion Final.
The midfielder now joins the Stags and brings leadership, composure and invaluable experience to Scott Rendell's squad.
Manager Scott Rendell said:
" Reece has been a player I've been really keen to get in from the start. Im delighted we have managed to secure his signature and he will be a vital part in helping us continue our growth as a club on and off the pitch. His quality & leadership will add to our group and I see him as a perfect fit for us."
Director of Football Dave Wright added:
"We're delighted to bring Reece to the football club. Players with his level of experience, leadership and pedigree don't become available very often."
"Over 400 appearances for Oxford City, captaining the club and helping them achieve promotion to the National League speaks volumes about the person and player he is. He has consistently performed at a high level throughout his career and will add huge value to the squad."
"As we continue to strengthen the group, it was important that we added players who can influence games but also influence people around them. Reece does both, and we're excited to see the impact he'll have here at AFC Totton."
Reece expressed his delight upon joining the club:
" I'm really looking forward to this season, I can see the progress the club's making, and hopefully I can be a part of that and help as best I can."
Keep an eye out on social media in the coming days to listen in full to Reece's full first words with the club's media team!
Everyone at AFC Totton would like to welcome Reece to the club and wishes him every success in a Stags shirt.
Reece is sponsored by Langley Arb.
