AFC Totton AFC Totton Pitching In - Partners with Southern Football League

Ryan Pennery profile.jpgStriker Ryan Pennery has left AFC Totton to return to one of his former clubs, Gosport Borough, on a permanent transfer.

Ryan, who is 26 years-old, joined the Stags in June of this year but spent the majority of his time at the Snows Stadium working to a stringent ACL reconstruction rehabilitation plan that limited him to just four first team appearances, three of them as substitute, and one goal - ironically, a penalty against Gosport in the Hampshire Senior Cup last week.

After coming through the youth ranks at Portsmouth-based outfit Moneyfields, Ryan fired an incredible 48 Wessex League goals for Baffin Milton Rovers in 2016/17 before returning to Moneys for the following season.

A 14-goal haul attracted Borough's attention and, having joined for the 2018/19 campaign, he top-scored for them with 20 goals despite a season of struggle for the Privett Park club.

A fast and skilful striker, Ryan returned to Moneyfields for a third stint before becoming a Stag this summer. He now returns to Gosport for his second spell with the Southern League Premier side, who are currently 5th in the table and in contention for a Promotion Play-Off spot.

Stags Head Coach, Dan Sackman said: "It's a shame to lose Penners, I thought he would have a real impact on our season. But I wish him well in his next venture."
