PLAYER BIOGRAPHY
Christie Ward is a dynamic, attack-minded midfielder who joined AFC Totton in June 2025, bringing energy, flair, and valuable experience from both league and non-league football. Born on 9 November 2003 in Poole, Dorset, Christie began his footballing journey in the Wessex League, where his standout performances quickly caught attention.
Starting at Hamworthy United, Ward made his mark during the 2021/22 season before moving to Brockenhurst, where he enjoyed a prolific spell—scoring 19 goals in 47 appearances. His performances earned him a move to League One side Wycombe Wanderers in July 2022. While at Wycombe, he made his senior debut in the EFL Trophy against Peterborough United and later featured in League One against Ipswich Town, gaining valuable first-team experience at professional level.
To accelerate his development, Christie took in several loan spells across National League South and North clubs, including Hungerford Town, Slough Town, Banbury United, Braintree Town, Weymouth, and Tonbridge Angels. These moves helped him adapt to the physical and tactical demands of senior football, and he emerged with a stronger understanding of the game and a reputation as a tenacious, box-to-box midfielder.
Now at AFC Totton, Christie is seen as a key addition to the squad ahead of their debut season in the National League South. Known for his tireless work rate, intelligent movement, and eye for goal from midfield, he brings both creativity and intensity to the engine room. His ability to contribute in both attacking and defensive phases makes him a versatile and exciting option for manager Jimmy Ball.
