AFC Totton AFC Totton Enterprise National League

After an incredible first season at Step 2 , finishing 12th place in the Enterprise National League South , we held our prestigous annual awards ceremony at The Snows Stadium. The event was attended by club sponsors, staff, volunteers, players and their families to celebrate another excellent season for the club.

The evening kicked off with a montage of 7 selected goals all shortlisted for The Goal of the Season award, where all attendees voted for their choice which was announced at the end of the evening.

Before the awards began, the club's CEO Steve Brookwell , presented a gift on behalf of the club to a  number of vital staff members , whose exraordinary efforts keep AFC Totton running on a day to day basis , going above and beyond.

SUPPORTER'S PLAYER OF THE SEASON

The first award of the night, voted for by our loyal fans , went to Star Striker Tony Lee. Tony notably picked up 20 goals across all competions this season.

MEDIA TEAM PLAYER OF THE SEASON

Next up was the award voted for by the club's media team consisting of Josh Cole, Fin Hall and Adi Rose. The trio have covered every game this season and  unanimously chose creative midfielder Christie Ward as their player of the season.

YOUNG PLAYER OF THE SEASON

After many mature performances over the years since he joined the club in 2022, Luke Hallett still only 23, stepped up again this season and deservedly picked up the award presented by Stag's DOF Dave Wright.

MANAGER'S PLAYER OF THE SEASON

Selected by newly apppointed permenant manager Scott Rendell, who has been ever-present this season whether on the touchline or the pitch. Craig Tanner, came away with the award after another superb season.

PLAYER'S PLAYER OF THE SEASON

Some may say that this is the most prestigous award of the night, with Declan Rose picking up the award. Dec has been a vital mainstay in the team, covering multiple positions, and a deserved winner of the award.

TOP GOALSCORER

Tony Lee picked up his second award of the night, with 20 goals across all competitions, a clear winner for this award.

GOAL OF THE SEASON

Having been voted for on the night,selected from the shortlist above, there was an unanimous winner. With 50 votes, Scott Rendell's exquisite volley from our historic FA Cup first round tie against Maccelsfield , was crowned the winner.

SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS

The ceremony ended with presentations for two members of staff both departing the club.

  • Brenda Andrews who is retiring after many years of going above and beyond working for the club across all areas. Brenda, loved by many fans and staff, will be missed at the football club and we hope to see her around supporting the Stags soon. Enjoy a well deserved retirement, Brenda.
  • Josh Cole, who departs the football club after 3 seasons , after he finishes his studies at Solent University. Having been the voice of Totton, as the club's commentator and more recently Head of Media,  Josh will have a bright future in the industry. All the best for the future , Josh.
