When you’re cheering on the Stags this match day, you’ll also be backing two local youth organisations making a huge difference off the pitch — 5th Testwood Scouts and 4th Eling Sea Scouts.
Together, our groups support young people aged 4–18 from across Totton, Eling and the surrounding community, helping them build skills for life through adventure, teamwork and leadership.
From camping under the stars and learning to sail, to climbing, kayaking and community volunteering — our young people gain confidence, resilience and friendships that last a lifetime.
But none of this happens without the support of our local community.
While Testwood Scouts deliver a full land-based Scouting programme, Eling Sea Scouts add a unique nautical twist — offering sailing on the neighbouring Testwood Lakes, alongside kayaking, water safety and on-the-water adventure.
Grassroots football and grassroots Scouting share the same values — teamwork, respect, community spirit and giving young people the chance to thrive.
So while you’re backing the Stags, thank you for backing local Scouting too.
Together, we’re building skills for life — on and off the pitch.
Both groups are also proud to co-host one of Totton’s biggest community events — the Eling & Testwood Donkey Derby, taking place on 16th May at Eling Recreation Ground.
With donkey racing, falconry displays family activities, entertainment and fundraising fun for all ages, it’s a fantastic day out that helps fund opportunities for local young people.
