AFC Totton AFC Totton Pitching In - Partners with Southern Football League

We're thrilled to announce a fantastic addition to our facilities – a brand-new defibrillator! We're incredibly grateful to Paul and Sharon from Independent Plumbing Supplies (IPS) https://www.independentplumbingsupplies.co.uk/ for their generous donation of our brand-new defibrillator!

This lifesaving piece of equipment has been installed on the wall of the changing room block, directly opposite the MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) and training pitch. This ensures it's within easy reach for anyone using the facilities in the event of an emergency.

Why a Defibrillator Matters

Defibrillators are crucial medical devices that can significantly increase the chances of survival for someone experiencing a sudden cardiac arrest. Without immediate intervention with a defibrillator, most cardiac arrests are fatal. The purpose of a defibrillator is to give the person in cardiac arrest a fighting chance before the ambulance arrives. By having this equipment readily available on-site, we hope to save someone's life.

Knowing where the defibrillator is located and how to use it is crucial in an emergency. Please share this information with anyone who frequently uses AFC Totton, MUGA, or training pitch. The more people who are aware of its location and how it works, the better prepared we are to respond to a potential cardiac emergency.
