AFC Totton AFC Totton Enterprise National League

Dylan Andrews, aged just 17, made his league debut on Saturday as he came on in our Enterprise National League South fixture against Worthing.

Director of Football Dave Wright expressed his delight at the milestone: “We’re really pleased for Dylan. To see a 17-year-old come through and make his senior league debut is a proud moment for everyone at the club.”

Having played a key role in Harry Brookwell’s U23 side during their title-winning campaign last season, where he was also named Manager’s Player of the Season, Dylan has been progressing steadily through the ranks. He previously made his senior bow for the Stags earlier this season in the Hampshire Senior Cup against Eastleigh.

Wright highlighted the broader significance of Dylan’s progression: “Providing opportunities for young players and creating a clear pathway into the first team is something we see as absolutely fundamental to the future of AFC Tottom.

"It’s important that players within our system can see a route, believe in it, and then be given the chance when they’re ready.

“From my background in academy football and player development, it’s something I’m particularly passionate about. Since coming into the club, a big focus has been building an environment where young players can develop, progress, and step into senior football.

“Scott Rendell shares that vision with his current links to academy football, as does Louis Langdown. That alignment is really important, it allows us to give players like Dylan the right support and the confidence to step up.

“Now it’s about continuing to support him, keep him grounded, and ensure this is just the start of his journey rather than the end point.”

Congratulations to Dylan on reaching this important milestone, another example of the clear pathway available for young talent at the Snows Stadium.
