If The Stags keep flying to new heights this season, come December, they very well may bump into Santa and his reindeer in the starry sky. To ensure they don’t meet Old Saint Nick empty-handed, we’re launching our popular AFC Totton Christmas Toy Appeal for 2021.

Mariah Carey has already been heard on the radio a few times, so we thought we could get in on the festive cheer too and hopefully have the most successful toy appeal yet.

We feel strongly that no child should wake up on Christmas Day without a present to open and by contributing new toys and books for us to distribute to underprivileged children via local schools, you will be helping us to ensure that those less fortunate have a Christmas morning filled with cheer.

David Penny, AFC Totton Vice-Chairman, has said:

“Our Christmas Toy Appeal is a way of spreading a little festive magic, ensuring children who have had the hardest of years have a gift to open. The appeal’s success all depends on the generosity of people and businesses in our local area, and every year it is heart-warming to see how many people care enough to take part and donate.

Your generosity to the toy appeal goes a long way. We know it’s been a challenging time for many but if you can buy an extra present then you’ll really bring some festive joy to a local young person.

We know through our work in the community that the day-to-day challenges felt by many local families only got tougher because of the pandemic and for some, this continues. Rest assured, all gifts will go to local homes who need them most and speaking from experience, I know how much joy and happiness your thoughtful gifts will bring.”

If you would like to contribute a new toy, you can bring it directly to the Club or you can call our Vice-Chairman Dave Penny on 07754 753 426 and he will gladly come and collect.
