We are pleased to announce the addition of energetic young midfielder Jacob Towns, arriving on dual-registration arrangement with Hartpury FC.
Jacob is a product of the Hartpury programme, where he has spent several seasons as a key figure, even serving as the senior team captain.
He played a pivotal role in Hartpury’s recent success: he helped them secure promotion to Step 4 and contributed to a campaign where Hartpury reached the semi-final of the FA Vase and secured a league title in the Hellenic Premier Division.
Before Hartpury, Jacob had links to academy setups including Forest Green Rovers.
He has also featured for university-level representative sides like England Universities Sport where he featured against the Scottish version in the summer months with Jacob & co won 3-0.
Jacob is known for his drive, work-rate, and midfield versatility. As his former coach said: his character and desire stood out, traits that have already impressed during his trial.
That trial was at Taunton where he joined at the start of this season and instantly impressed them from the off.
Under the dual-reg, Jacob will remain part of the Hartpury setup while being available for AFC Totton when needed!
