WOKING – THEIR SEASON SO FAR:
Woking sit in 9th place in the Enterprise National League with 31 points from 22 games. The season didn’t start off good at all for the opposition as they found themselves winless in their first six games, which saw just one draw. At the end of August they picked up their first win against Morecambe.
After that win, they went two games undefeated, drawing 1-1 away at Halifax and beating Gateshead 5-0. Then for the rest of September, results were a mixed bag with two wins, one draw and three losses.
They drew 2-2 with Truro to kick off October, then came the FA Cup fourth qualifying round, and after a replay, Woking lost 6-2 against Brackley. But then came seven games where they didn’t lose, winning four games in that spell.
In the middle of November saw a loss at home in the Surrey Senior Cup against Cobham, but after that, The Cards are undefeated in their last four, with three wins in the league and a penalty shootout win in the National League cup.

OPPOSITION PLAYERS TO WATCH:
‘KEEPER/DEFENCE: Will Jaaskelainen
Will joined Woking in February 2023, initially arriving to provide competition for long-time number one Craig Ross. He quickly impressed and earned the starting role later that month, going on to start 14 of the club’s final 15 fixtures of the season. His strong performances helped the Cards secure a fourth-place finish in the National League and qualify for the end-of-season play-offs for the first time in the club’s history at that level. He was rewarded with a new one-year contract at the end of the campaign.
A Finnish youth international, he brings valuable EFL experience, most notably from his time with Crewe Alexandra, where he made close to 100 first-team appearances. He played 35 league games during Crewe’s 2019/20 League Two promotion season, helping the club finish as runners-up, and went on to make a further 45 league appearances across the next two seasons in League One.
He moved to AFC Wimbledon in the summer of 2022, but an injury prevented him from making a league appearance, and he departed the club in January 2023.
Football talent runs in the family, he is the son of former Premier League goalkeeper and Finnish international Jussi Jääskeläinen.
MIDFIELD: JAKE FORSTER-CASKEY
Jake Forster-Caskey has spent more than a decade competing at Championship and League One level. A graduate of the Brighton & Hove Albion academy, he made his senior debut at just 16 years old, becoming one of the youngest players in the club’s history. He went on to make over 75 appearances for the Seagulls, featuring in both the Championship and domestic cup competitions, and earning recognition as one of the club’s brightest young midfield talents.
During his time with Brighton, Forster-Caskey gained further EFL experience with loan spells at Oxford United, Milton Keynes Dons, and Rotherham United, adding both versatility and maturity to his game before making a permanent move to Charlton Athletic in 2017.
His spell at Charlton proved to be one of the defining chapters of his career. A key figure under multiple managers, he became a fans’ favourite for his technical quality, ball retention, and set-piece ability. Despite suffering a serious knee injury that ruled him out of the 2018/19 campaign, Forster-Caskey returned to become a central figure once again, earning the Charlton Athletic Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards in 2020/21.
Moves to Southend United and subsequently Stevenage followed, where he continued to demonstrate the composure, experience and midfield intelligence that had characterised his EFL career. Across his time in the professional game, he has amassed well over 200 senior appearances, including seasons challenging for promotion and competing in some of the EFL’s most competitive midfield environments.
Internationally, Forster-Caskey represented England at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18 and Under-21 levels, earning over 20 youth caps and playing alongside several future Premier League players, further evidence of the pedigree he brings.
ATTACK: Josh Osude
Josh Osude is an exciting and dynamic wide attacker whose pace, physicality, and direct dribbling have made him one of the most eye-catching talents across the non-League scene.
He began his senior journey in the London and Surrey non-league circuits, earning early recognition with Tooting & Mitcham United before continuing his development at Kingstonian. His explosiveness and ability to beat defenders quickly caught the eye, leading to a move to Carshalton Athletic, where he became one of the Isthmian League’s most dangerous wide players.
Osude’s national profile grew significantly during his spell with Hashtag United, one of Non-League’s most followed and fast-rising clubs. Competing in front of large digital audiences as well as strong matchday crowds, he became a standout performer in the Isthmian League setup. His powerful ball-carrying, goal threat, and relentless attacking intent made him a fan favourite.
His progression earned him a move into the National League South with Hampton & Richmond Borough, where he demonstrated he could translate his dynamism to a higher tier. Operating against stronger, more organised defences, Osude continued to impress with his pace on the break, work rate, and end-product.
