PLAYER BIOGRAPHY
A composed, technically skilled left-sided defender, Brandon Haunstrup brings a wealth of experience and professionalism to the AFC Totton back line. Raised in nearby Waterlooville, Brandon began his career at Portsmouth FC, coming through the academy and making his senior debut at just 18 in a League Cup tie against Derby County in 2015.
During his time at Fratton Park, Brandon made over 30 league appearances and gained further experience during loan spells with Bognor Regis Town and Sutton United. In 2020, he made the move north of the border to Kilmarnock, where he featured regularly in the Scottish Premiership and played a key role in their 2021/22 Championship title-winning campaign.
A return to English football came in 2022 with a move to Cambridge United in League One, followed by a stint at Gateshead, where he contributed both defensively and creatively in the National League.
In June 2025, Brandon signed for AFC Totton on a two-year deal, bringing with him top-level pedigree and a calm authority in possession. Comfortable as a left-back or left-sided centre-half, he fits seamlessly into the Stags' possession-based style of play and adds vital depth, versatility, and leadership to the squad.
