PLAYER BIOGRAPHY:

Ryan is an experienced full-back who joined AFC Totton in August 2025 after a long career across the English football pyramid. A product of AFC Wimbledon’s youth system, he broke into their first team in 2009 and helped the Dons establish themselves in the Football League, before loan spells at Fleetwood Town, where he made an instant impact with two goals in four appearances, and Cambridge United.

He went on to play regularly for Macclesfield Town in the Conference before earning a move to Newport County, where he made over 60 appearances in League Two. His consistent performances earned him a switch to Gillingham in 2015, where he became known for his athleticism and trademark long throw-ins, making 71 appearances across two seasons.

A three-year stay at Colchester United saw him rack up more than 120 appearances and six goals before returning to Gillingham for a second spell, adding a further 77 league games to his record. Jackson later featured for Cheltenham Town in League One and Sutton United in League Two, continuing to be a reliable and energetic presence on the right flank.

Alongside over 500 senior appearances, he also represented England C in 2013, playing against Turkey A2 and Bermuda. Renowned for his pace, stamina, and defensive reliability, as well as his attacking overlaps, Jackson now brings his wealth of experience to AFC Totton as they begin life in National League South.
